I'm saddened to hear of Dr. Draper's passing. He was one of my instructors /mentor at Illinois State. The last time I saw him was when I was traveling as a graduate student with the SDSU volleyball team to BYU! I know he has touched the lives of many athletic training students/athletic trainers and student athletes over the years. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

This is a photo from 38 years ago when David was on the Blackfoot High School cross country team that won the state championship for the first time in over 30 years. David was a sophomore and went on to win two more state championships with his team during his high school education. I was fortunate to cross paths with him again when we both lived in Illinois. He and Nancy were so generous in opening there home to myself and my family when we lost power in a neighboring city due to an ice storm. We both eventually ended up back west but our paths did not cross. David was a good man and probably an excellent husband, father and grandfather. May God bless him and his family at this time.
