Heather Ashley Fox, 31, of Orem, Utah passed away peacefully in her home with loving family around her after a courageous battle with Colon Cancer on Saturday May 16, 2020. Heather was born March 22, 1989 in Orem Utah to Shawn and Annette Fox.

Heather attended Cascade Elementary, Canyon View Junior High and Orem High with most of her Junior and High School years being taught at home by Diane Anderson with Alpine School District Home Health Program. Heather graduated in 2007 from Orem High School.

Heather lived in the same Orem home all her life. She loved her home as her place of peace, security, and love. She created a beautiful space in her two bedrooms full of what she loved! Books, Movies, Marvel, Disney, and anything tiny and small. Heather had amazing creative talents that she shared with others in her artwork, cards, and little gifts, making necklaces and key chains for other cancer patients. (Leaving Thank You notes and little gifts for the Nurse after her treatments). Heather loved to paint, read and her “media,” everything from Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Vincent Price to The Avengers/Marvel, Tom Hanks, and anything JRR Tolkein.

Heather had a special place in her heart for her special pets and friends. Her companion Mouse stayed with her for 21 years. She leaves us Dumpling, her tiny dwarf hamster to care for and love.
Heather volunteered at Orem Public Library and was eventually hired as a Librarian Page. She loved this work! She continued to work through her treatments until she became too frail. She Loves her Library family, it was a joy for her to pack up her bag and go into work!

Heather is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Young Women Program and Relief Society. Heather has a Strong faith in Jesus Christ her Savior, in prayer and the tender mercies that have been shown to her and her family during this hard journey.

Heather is survived by her loving parents, Shawn and Annette Gardner Fox; her brothers Paul Fox (Jayme), Keith Fox, Kyle Fox (Maribah). Her sweet nieces and nephews: Justin, Makiya, Taylar, Harlee Jean, Marshall, Coraline. Her Aunt Nancy (William) Belot, Uncle Alan (Karen)Gardner and cousins. Her Fox Aunts and Uncles and all the many Cousins. Her Grandma Louise Spencer Fox, Grandpa Danny (Linda) Rice and her California Families.

The Family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the Doctors and Nurses who gave their loving care to Heather. For the special charge Nurse who let her Mother/Annette stay with Heather during a pandemic. We are grateful for Leland her hospice nurse for his kindness and gentle care.
Our hearts are heavy, yet full of peace and love from family and friends. Thank you!

Heather made my day brighter every time I saw or spoke to her. Her smile and optimism gave me much needed hope in my life. She may not have known how much she helped by saying a quick hello or by our conversations which consisted of her nieces and nephews, her brother who has started his own handy man business and how proud she was of him, and of course each of the Marvel movies and characters, especially “Loki” played by Tom Hiddleston who was her favorite. I miss you Heather and will always remember you.

Heather was a treasure to work with! She brought such a sweet demeanor into the workroom. We had such fun talking about movies and Disneyland. She was so well organized and did amazing work. I could always count on her to get anything done that I needed her to. She was so creative and loved to share happy notes and handmade gifts. I have so enjoyed being her friend, coworker, and supervisor. I will miss her very much. Best wishes to your family.
