Katie Marie Robinson Lorton age 45 of Union, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes, February 19, 2021.

Katie was born March 1, 1975 to Dennis Robinson and M. Janis Wirick. Katie grew up in Orem, Utah. She played the piano and swam competitively on a USA swim team. She swam for her high school team and graduated from Mountain View High School. After high school she did some modeling. She was also a river guide on the Green River, in Moab, Utah, as well as on the Talkeetna River, in Talkeetna, Alaska. She loved anything to do with the water.

She married Shane Thacker, with whom she had her son, Conner Thacker. She and Shane divorced and Katie married Brian Lorton, with whom she had her two daughters, Taylor Lorton and Rylee Lorton. She and Brian divorced, and she moved to Missouri to be close to her daughters.

While living in Missouri, she graduated with her phlebotomy training and was looking for a job using that training when she passed away. She loved camping, running rivers, boating, Utah deserts, all the pets she had as a child, and Lake Powell. She also loved attending concerts with her siblings. Her greatest love was her children. She wanted them to be happy and to have better lives than the one she lived.

Katie is survived by her son, Conner Thacker, and her two daughters, Taylor Lorton and Rylee Lorton. Mother; M. Janis Nielson, Father and Stepmom; Dennis & Lisa Robinson, Sister and Brother-in-law; Leslie & Rich Headrick, Sister; Traci Robinson, Brother and Sister-in-law; Eric & Christi Robinson, stepsister; Tiffany Foulke, Stepbrother; Josh & Jen Davis. She also leaves behind six nieces: Marissa, Alysha, Isabella, Olivia and Sophia Headrick, Kiarra Foulke, and two Nephews: Sagan & Wilson Robinson as well as other friends and loved ones. Her grandparents, Jay & Ruth Van Wagenen Robinson and Neil & Marian Thompson Wirick, stepfather, Doug Nielson, and stepbrother Jake Davis preceded her in death.

Katie will be deeply missed, loved, and never forgotten.
