Sophie Mae Slade age 62 of Orem, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. A Live Broadcast of services may be viewed Saturday, March 13, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at, where condolences and memories may be offered to the family. On March 7, 2021 Sophie Mae Slade passed away on the second anniversary of her cancer diagnosis. She was born December 26, 1958 in Amherst, Ohio. Her family moved to Utah when she was a child. She met the love of her life, Greg Slade, in high school and married him June 17, 1978. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She worked hard and received her certification to be a massage therapist. She shared her love with many people through massage therapy. She had an incredible talent of remembering every person she ever met and finding connections with everyone. She made the best peanut butter bars and mint M&M cookies! She was always willing to give a helping hand and serve others. She was a warrior who fought to her last breath!
She is preceded in death by Melvin Sommers (Father), Frank Sommers (Brother), J Keith Slade (Father in law), Iris Slade (Mother in law), Stefanie Slade (Sister in law), Kevin Slade (Nephew) and Tom Turner (Brother in law).
She is survived by her greatest treasures in life, her grandchildren: Rylaen, Phaedra, Abigail, Ayden, Aviel, Dawn, Deklan, Neviah, Mary, J Calum and Mindy. Greg Slade (Husband), Christopher Slade (Son), Joshua Slade (Son), Ruby Ballantyne (Daughter), Audrey Cazier (Daughter), Michael Slade (Son), Rachel Slade (Chris), Tracy Slade (Josh), Kurt Ballantyne (Ruby), Jon Cazier (Audrey), Ruth Sommers (Mother), Cathy Turner (Sister), Andy Sommers (Brother), Linda Santos (Sister), Melvin Sommers (Brother), Claudia Brown (Sister in l aw), Brad Slade (Brother in law), John Slade (Brother in law), Rodney Slade (Brother in law), Kim Ellison (Sister in law), Matt Slade (Brother in law), Heather Slade (Sister in law), Jeremy Slade (Brother in law) and many more loved ones.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10:30am in the church at 85 E 700 N Orem, Utah. There will be livestream of the service. Just go and click view live webcast for Sophie Slade.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who took the time to visit and support Sophie at any point during her battle with cancer.

There will be limited seating at the chapel and masks are required.

Sophie you have always been a bonus mom in my life, I am going to miss you dearly, I am so grateful for the time that I got to laugh with you and sing with you just days before you went back home to our Heavenly Father! You will forever be in my heart!
